Patrick Pevoto, MD

Dr. Pevoto was born in Port Arthur, Texas and is the son of a physician. Both he and his father graduated from the same medical school, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is the middle son of three boys, and the only one to follow in the career footsteps of his father.

After medical school and an OB/GYN residency in Galveston, Dr. Pevoto returned to Austin to practice obstetrics and gynecology for 25 years. Over time, he began to long for a practice somewhere with less “hustle and bustle” as well as a need for his services. In 2012, the position at Delta County Memorial Hospital became the fulfillment of this desire. He was Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for two of the three years he was there.

Dr. Pevoto relocated to Grand Junction in 2015 where he practiced with Dr. Kevin Howell until 2017. Now a part of the team at Monument Women’s Healthcare, he is able to practice high risk obstetrics and gynecology through St. Mary’s Regional Hospital and Medical Center.

Dr. Pevoto has been on the faculty of The University of Texas College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, working at the Austin campus. He has always enjoyed teaching medical and pharmacy students, as well as medical residents and those pursuing a degree in advanced nursing. It has been a delight for him to work with the residents at the St. Mary’s Family Medicine program.

Dr. Pevoto serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Medical Society, and is the current President of the organization. He is also currently helping to implement an OB Hospitalist program at Covenant Women and Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, Texas.

Dr. Pevoto and his wife, Deletha, live in Fruita, CO. He has three sons and a daughter. In those rare moments when he finds himself with some free time, he enjoys tennis, golf, camping and hiking. He nurtures his creative side with time spent enjoying music, reading and writing.

Dr. Pevoto is accepting new patients and would love to meet you.
